Cliptext ("we", "us", "our") operates the cliptext.ai website and SaaS platform. This Privacy Policy describes how we collect, use, and protect your personal data.
1. Data We Collect
We collect information you provide when creating an account (name, email address), workspace and transcription data you create within the platform, uploaded audio and video files for transcription processing, usage data such as login timestamps and feature usage, and technical data such as browser type, IP address, and device information.
2. How We Use Your Data
We use your data to provide and improve our transcription services, process your audio and video files using our AI transcription engine, manage your account, workspaces, and team collaboration, send transactional emails (verification, invitations, notifications), and ensure platform security and prevent abuse.
3. Third-Party Services
We use ElevenLabs for audio transcription processing, Cloudflare for content delivery and file storage, Neon for database hosting, and Google and Seznam.cz for OAuth authentication. These providers process data according to their own privacy policies.
4. Data Storage & Security
Your data is stored in the European Union (Frankfurt region). We use encryption in transit (TLS) and at rest. Uploaded files are stored in Cloudflare R2 with access controls. We never use your audio files or transcription data for AI training.
5. Your Rights
Under GDPR, you have the right to access, correct, or delete your personal data, request data portability, withdraw consent at any time, and lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority. Contact us at privacy@cliptext.ai to exercise these rights.
6. Cookies
We use essential cookies for authentication and session management, and a locale preference cookie to remember your language choice. We do not use advertising or tracking cookies.
7. Data Retention
We retain your account data as long as your account is active. Transcription files and results are kept until you delete them or close your account. After account deletion, all data is permanently removed within 30 days.
